IDAS was established in late 2008 by the Walsh brothers after years of working in the industry as both installers and suppliers of security and home automation systems. Together they have a wealth of knowledge, experience and contacts in the industry. Peter Walsh

Peter has over 10 years experience in the security and automation systems industry. Peter’s key strengths are technical product knowledge, practical experience, and very strong empathy with installers. Having worked on both sides of a trade counter Peter is ideally situated to understand the needs of installers.   Peter has worked with the countries leading installers and was involved in the design and delivery of some of the largest security projects in the country.  Recently Peter has been appointed as Secretary of the newly formed KNX Association of Ireland .   
 
Niall Walsh

With over 30 years of technical experience in the industry Niall is the company’s technical director. Qualified as an Electronic Service Technician, Niall has worked in technical roles in the manufacturing, distribution, installation and design side of the industry. More recently Niall has been involved in system specification and design. A qualified KNX partner Niall is the ideal person to design your automation and security solutions. Working with installers and engineers to solve technical problems is one of Niall’s key strengths. This broad experience leaves Niall in a position to see problems from all sides and ensure we deliver real customer satisfaction.
